Seventeen. Seventeen Years Old. That’s when Jana Maroney put her toe
in the water of what would lead to a successful and personally gratifying
real estate career. At 17 she became a leasing agent in the apartment
leasing industry in Dallas. A sharp manager took a chance on this
tenacious teenager and found a gem. Jana quickly learned about legal
contracts, people’s housing needs, customer service, and that being a
reliable, honest employee earns a living and the respect of your
employers and clients.

After learning a great deal as a big market leasing agent for four years
Jana moved on to Oklahoma City to be near family. Jana met Oklahoma
native Monty Fariss. He’s 6’4”. She’s 5’3”. He’s reserved. She’s not! They
are perfect together and so they began their marriage, living out values
that guide them to this day: family, hospitality, gratefulness, and hard
work balanced with fun . Monty transitioned from a career in major
league baseball to banking, and the young couple started a family and
before long bought a house to flip while living in it with two young
children and Monty working full time. It could have been an HGTV
disaster but it wasn’t! They found they were good at working together,
each bringing their strengths and growing knowledge to the table. They
were inspired and big dreams were forming.

When the kids got a little older Jana answered an ad in the paper for a
job with an OKC area real estate investor. He hired her that day and
trained her as one of the state’s first female real estate acquisition agents.
She became a licensed realtor and during her years with this company,
Jana was a key player in millions of dollars in real estate transactions of
all kinds, gaining valuable business experience along the way. After
several years it was time for her and Monty to build a business of their
own, the one for which they had been dreaming and preparing.

Over time Jana has transacted 1000s of residential deals. She is
experienced, successful and comfortable in residential, investment,
commercial, agricultural, lease to own, even multifamily transactions.

Brinn Fariss

Brinn Fariss was born and raised in Oklahoma City. She earned her
masters degree from Dallas Baptist University where she was a scholar
athlete for the women’s golf team. She loved her time in Dallas and
considered several career paths, but as her college education wrapped up
she knew she wanted to earn her realtor license and join the family
business. Brinn states “ I absolutely love real estate and do not picture
myself doing anything else.Watching my parents build their real estate
businesses encouraged me to join their team.”She did just that, joining the
1411 Homes team in August 2020 and hitting the ground running, having
fully transacted the purchase or sale of five homes in her first six months!

Brinn takes pride in working hard to help buyers and sellers find their
dream homes! She thinks of herself as still learning, and feels blessed to
have the very personal hands on training from her mom and dad.
However if you work with Brinn you will not feel like you are working with
a “rookie’. Her knowledge of the market, work ethic, and solid grasp of
the ins and outs of real estate match well with her grace and pleasant
personality. Her clients appreciate her attentiveness and quick action
response.

Brinn’s interests outside of work include time spent at the family lake
